if you extract the start info from cd or floppy (by the way, none has a floppy today in his pc, you should change it into usb-stick) you can save it as bif, bin, ezb, ima..but it will be saved as a bsf file.
and if you load that file, you will asked to load a bin file although you 've saved it as a bsf file.

BSF is Boot Sector File of a disk (USB or normal one), it is used to create floppy/disk image. BIF is Bootable Image File of a CD-ROM, and to be used to create a ISO image.

and there is another thing...
why you can only extract start infos from cd,floppy, hdd ? why not from an isofile ?
and why you can't create a boot.bin to a usb-stick to make it bootable?
