it is very useful using submenus, you can better group and organize the boot utilities.
can anyone tell me how to go back in main menu after i entered a submenu?

please use 'run cdmenu.ezb' command where 'cdmenu.ezb' is the main menu file.

and if needed:

i think you may have too many "run" commands at the end (run run cdmenu.ezb) try this run pm.img;run cdmenu.ezb

Dan Me,  I have added a line like this to a menu item. (run bootnic.img; run main.ezb) to a button in my bootdisk. Now, once the bootnic.img file has executed, how do I return to the main menu. I have tested this and once the bootnic.img loads dos and everything else on the img file, I have not been able to return to the main menu. What am I missing from my bootnic.img file to return to the main menu?

Thanks!
