no ... is not the same .

1. burn a acronis bootable rescue media (acronis director)
2. create iso from cd
3. save boot file (with ultraiso)
-> boot.bif only 2048 byte :(

use winiso to "save boot information to file"
-> boot.wbt (>15mb !) :;):

the first bytes of boot.wbt

Please use version 7.2 or above to avoid this kind of problem.

is the latest version 7.2.2.873 !

ultraiso extract the first 2048 bytes only .
this bytes are the same with the first 2048 bytes of director.wbt (extract with winiso) - no different !

(size of director.wbt ca. 15mb !)

I too have seen this same issue; running 7.2.2.873.

In my experience, WinISO is the only extraction program that can extract Acronis boot records correctly.  They may be doing something proprietary but WinISO seems to have figured it out.

It would be nice to see UltraISO support this as well.

Acronis ISO images are using a non-standard bootable information table, the feature for extracting boot file will be added at version 7.23 soon.

Possible problem: You cannot re-create an bootable CD from TrueImage's .bif file, but Disk Director's .bif works.
