I ran into a bug in UltraISO.

If I create a CD Repair Disc on my Windows 7 Ultimate machine with recdisc.exe and then try to extract the ISO image UltraISO stop responding permanently.

If I create the CD Repair Discs on my Windows 7 Professional machines, the UltraISO is able to extract the ISO image fine.

I have tried this on 2 different CDs and UltraISO hangs at different spots (but same for each CD) toward the end of the ISO Image making process.

VSO Inspector shows no surface errors on the CDs.

I am able to extract the ISO images fine from these same CDs using MagicISO and Nero.

I hop this helps.

Please open this ISO image with UltraISO, press F4 to extract files and folders and see if your problem is resolved.

Hi Xoben,

If I open the images created by MagicISO (.iso) and Nero (.nrg) with UltraISO and I press F4, then the files are extracted and I see no obvious problems. i.e., the files all seem to be there and I assume they are not corrupt.

Best wishes,

Joe

Do you mean making ISO image from a CD with 'Tools'->'Make CD/DVD image'?

Tested on Win7 Pro 64bit and Win7 Ultimate 32bit, no problem was encountered on making ISO image from CD's created by recdisc.exe.

I'm using W7 Ultimate 64bit is where my problem is happening.

I can probably snail mail the discs if need be.

Tested on Windows 7 Ultimate x64, UltraISO worked.

This is a hardware dependent issue. Can you test making ISO on another PC from your R CD?

Duplicated the issue right here too. Guide works like a charm.
