Hello,

I'm coming over there to report a problem.

I just bought the "Battlefield 2142" game. Yesterday, i was able to connect and play and today, i was not able to run it cause the game was asking me to put the original DVD in the drive... and it was inside.

After searching a while with Google, i decided to update the firmware of my burner but the problem was still there. I have a reader and a burner so i tried in both of them and still no success. Then, i uninstalled "Deamon Tools" because i read somewhere that the anti-piracy system was looking for softwares which are able to emulate virtual drives but still no success.

And then, i found the problem. I installed UltraISO today to check the content of an ISO before burning it and i forgot it  is also able to emulate virtual drives. Since i uninstalled it, BF2142 is finally able to run...

I reinstalled "Daemon Tools" and the game still run... no matter if the software is known to emulate virtual drives ! I suppose they found a workaround to hide their software from the anti-piracy software included in BF2142.

That's why i'm coming over there... i like UltraISO and i would like to buy a license because it is the best piece of software in its category but i won't until i can keep it installed on my computer and run all my games without any problem ! I'm sure you can understand that... :)

Could you please do something about this ?

Sincerely,
Firya.

It may be a conflicting problem with ISODrive. Please choose 'Options'->'Configuration', switch to 'Virtual Drive' and set 'Number of Devices' to 'None' and try again..
