Hallo,
with Nero Burning ROM I created a bootabel DOS-CD using MS-DOS from Windows ME which ist the same as from Windows XP. I safed this CD to an ISO file (with Nero).
There are filenames with German "umlaut" like "men.bat".
Now I opened this ISO-file using UltraISO, added some files and saved it to a news ISO-file. But UltraISO obviously does not use the right filesystem to this new ISO-file.
In Windows Explorer the file "men.bat" appears correctly as "men.bat". But in DOS it becomes "men.bat" and this will not work.

If possible, please send the first 1MB data of your ISO to service@ezbsystems.com for checking.
PS: A small utility at http://dw.ezbsys.net/filecut.exe may help you to prepare a .1MB file.

Hallo xoben,
I created a new CD. So I could test, weather the bug is reproduce able (it is!) and I can send you the complete image files for analyzing and testing. I did send you the images by e-mail. There are two files. The first one is the original I created with Nero Burning RON and the second is the image created with UltraISO by opening the first one and saving it to a new file.
The new CD only contains the DOS for booting (original Windows ME Boot disk) and a small text file named "Men.txt". This file I placed twice on the CD, once into the boot partition (drive a:\) and once to the CD-Part which you can see within Windows Explorer. Windows Explorer shows this file correctly named "Men.txt".
When I start my PC from the CD "Men.txt" on drive a:\ is named correctly too, but NOT on the "CD-Partition". There it becomes to "Men.txt".
An other effect is the file size from the Image. The original created with Nero Burning RUM is about 0.3 MB larger then the new created with UltraISO, although I saved Nero image using the ISO-format too. This difference in file size is an absolutely value independent to CD size.

The reported bug is solved, but unfortunately that was not all. There for instance is a folder in my CD I cant access. To make it easier to explain, I made some screenshots. I send you an e-mail containing the new Image files and the screenshots.
What I dont understand is this: When I open an existing Image, why does UltraISO not recognize and automatically do the right settings??? Why must I do this manually? I do not know the meaning of all the possible settings and they are not explained within the help.

UltraISO 8.2.0.1669 and newer versions support 'DOS Charset' on 'File'->'Properties' dialogue, which can create filenames with NON-ASCII characters under DOS environment properly.
