Hi. I'm a long time registered user of UltraISO Premium Edition. However, I have had no luck burning with UltraISO ever I built a new machine using Vista 64bit. I keep getting "Error setting write mode page" in the message whether I use the Nero API or the built-in burning. Is there something I'm missing?

My UltraISO version is 9.3.2.2656

Here's a sample output log:
1# Windows Vista 6.0 Build 6002 (Service Pack 2)
1# Recorder: (E:)HL-DT-STDVD-RAM GH22NS301.01
2# Media type: CD-R
3# Number of blocks in ISO image is 301638
4# Preparing media ...
5# Requesting burn at Maximum speed
6# Burning image in Disk-At-Once (DAO) mode
7# Error setting write mode page

It is recommanded to download latest version Intel Matrix Storage Manager from http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product....ang=eng , setup it, restart your computer and try again.

That did it! Thank you for so quickly and accurately solving my problem. UltraISO has always been impressive. It's good to know the support behind it is equally impressive!

I just bought a new HP  laptop (with AMD Phenom Processor) it came with w7 preinstalled I put Ultraiso on it, and have had about the same problem " DVD-R/RW media requires setting mode page to use DAO", Whenever I try to burn a CD and off course it never burns it. The system has a blue ray drive.

Any help to solve this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

I just posted about this same thing without reading the board doing the prefect n00b mistake I hate...

The matrix manager is for raid stuff I don't have any raid

I reckon its when you have your stuff set to AHCI in bios that ultraiso doesn't like it, thus ultraiso should fix it... I hate installing crap I don't need

Ultraiso burning engine should be bug free.

e.g  imgburn doesn't have this problem....

where's the developer anywho?

Sorry for the inconveniences.

The Ultraiso developer apologised that I had to install crap on my system that I did not require, but did not indicate that he would fix the issue with Ultraiso.

This program truly has the worst support ever. No offence must be a developer thing, its quite common for developers to hate dealing with ppl.

I have the same problem since I re-installed my Windows7-x64 machine with AHCI activated.

No problems in IDE-mode, but with AHCI activated every try ends with "error setting write mode page".

Unfortunately, the tip above (install Intel Matrix Storage Manager) does not work for me, since it's setup breaks up with the message, that my system doesn't match minimum requirements. We are talking about a motherboard with Intel P35 chipset and with all drivers up-to-date.

I'd really be happy, if you guys from EZB-Systems will fix that bug with the next UltraISO-release.

/edit: The UltraISO-release that I use is: 9.3.6.2750
