I am very unhappy with my old Plextor PX-716A drives.  I bought them thinking I was getting state of the art but they have always been problematic and do not support UltraISO's power optimization.

For example, the PX-716A drives do work burning CDs and DVDs with UltraISO but they refuse to read the very CDs and often the very DVDs they just burned.  Remarkably, other drives and video DVD players have no problem reading these same disks.

Before I replace these drives I was wondering if the folks at UltraISO had a list of standard (not BluRay) DVD/CD burners that have superior dual layer DVD, CD-R and DVD burn and read characteristics and reliability and can take advantage of UltraISO's power optimization.

Suggestion:
1) Update firmware of your PX-716A to latest version, most problems with power calibration will be resolved

2) Pioneer, BENQ and Plextor are good brand for CD/DVD writers, please understand that we do not test UltraISO with all device type of them.
