basically ultraiso is not reporting the correct size of the bootable cdrom.

Hello zapbuzz, UltraISO reports total size of files in the ISO image, not the ISO file itself.PS: There are many duplicated files in this ISO.

ok so if I use the burning feature with this 700mb image it won't burn as 5gb?

The burning feature process that image as a whole, not files in it.
Tips:
Choose 'File'->'Simulated Save' from main menu, then click on 'Simulate' button, you will get size information of the ISO image itself.
