Hi xoben, I had a strange problem, these are my folders:boot (my old boot-cd, ~ 11 MB) ezboot werkstatt (only a folder on dvd, size ~720 MB) WIN98 WN2K XPHE XPPC XPPR In this version it´s running fine, but when the folder werkstatt gets bigger, up to ~ 1,3 GB, the XPPR doesn´t work anymore: Press any key..., but I can´t find that dammned ANY-key Now I moved the i386 from XPPR to root, use the w2ksect.bin, and it´s running again, but now I have the same problem with the XPPC like before with XPPR (it was working at the beginning) As last try I renamed only the werkstatt-folder to zubehoer(accessories) move the i386 back to XPPR, and now all is working again. Whats the problem? Another question: have you seen my post about the problem with the repair-console? ( I´m meaning the recovery-console at the beginning of installation) Any idea? Or is this only a problem with a non-english xp, like some missing files in my geman WN2K? And is it possible to get a log-file from the optimizing, only a statistic? That would be interesting. This function is saving me over 1 GB! One wish in next version: When I start easyboot, go to menu and wouldn´t it be fine, when I see there in my layout only the standard or marked item in highlight colors and the others in normal colors, like it is, when I boot from dvd? Hi xoben, very interesting, but the complete size was maybe 3,2 GB when I have this problem. All folders without zubehoer are ~2,1 GB OK, I take the name `zubehoer` and it works. But what about the problem with the recovery-console? Maybe I need a fixmbr or fixboot. Bye Posted by xoben on Mar. 25 2007,22:39

Hi xoben, there must be missing files and somewhere not the right path.I moved the i386 from XPPR to root, recovery works, but only with XPPR, not XPHE or XPPC But even when I copy all files/folders from XPPR\i386\ up to XPPR, its not working. Posted by purpur on Mar. 29 2007,02:54
Hi xoben, the problem was this file: SPCMDCON.SYS.I have to edit it in my first version, if not: Eula.txt missing! My folders now: boot ezboot i386 (XPPR) WIN98 WN2K XPHE XPPC Zubehoer I take the original spcmdcon.sys( in wn2k, xphe and xppc) and now all is working fine. The correct eula is shown and recovery-console is working. I see it while testing the repair- console in win2k: fine bsod: missing or damaged spcmdcon.sys One question about the priority: I´m missing the optimize option. When I open my optimzed iso, change the priority of some folders, save it, it will be not optimized. And wouldn´t it be better, when I see then somewhere the priority? Maybe the priority-changing should be integrated in easyboot. I don´t like to do something twice. Bye Posted by xoben on Mar. 30 2007,02:14
Please re-download EasyBoot from < http://www.ezbsystems.com/dl.php?file=ezb5_en.exe > , setup it and try again.

Hi xoben, I update my easyboot, change the name from zubehoer to tools, make a new optimzed image ( 3,2 GB ), seems to be working. But with a normal iso ( 4,4 GB ) same as before. I think the easiest way for me is to rename the folder, and thats it. Because what happens, if my optimized iso is also over 4 GB? Bye |
