I have a DVD which has PC Images on it, & have extractted the boot sector from the DVD, which ended up as a 2k .bif file.
I have set my boot loader to load this 2k file, but when it tries to load it I get a DOS screen with the error message: CDBOOT: Memory Overflow error
Can't find anything re this error in the Forums - does anyone know why it's happening & how to fix it please?
TIA

This is an error reported by your 2KB .bif file. It is a BIOS related problem and no solution is available.

I’ve found the answer – there was a text file on the root of the DVD names “Important – Readme.txt”

As soon as I remove the hyphen from the filename & recreate the disk, it’s fine!

The file including the hyphen exists on the original disk & doesn’t cause a problem when booting directly off the original.
