Yes you need some more stuff to make it work :O

Do it this way:
1. Create a folder HBCD in folder disk1 (use CAPS= BIG LETTERS to folder name HBCD)
2. Copy file riplinux.gz and file “linux” to created folder HBCD (you have “linux” in folder HBCD in Hiren ISO-file).
3. I have created a special “kicker-image” for you to download < HERE >
4. Copy “kicker-image” to folder ezboot and use menu command in Easyboot: run riplinux.img
5. Check “Allow lower case” when creating ISO in EasyBoot

Important notes: make sure folder name HBCD is uppercased (CAPS) and make sure file names riplinux.gz and file “linux” is lowercased (small letters).

Attention! Unfortunately checking “Allow lower case” has influence to your build in many ways - but must be used to make it work :(

Hmmm… ???  I happens that it works in  “virtual environment” but not in “reality” and vice versa :O

I tested using USB stick and it worked like a charm :;):

Unfortunately I have my computer built-in to a special made cupboard (its super-silent) :D
This means that I cannot use built-in CD/DVD-burner – but I really don’t use that stuff any more

However I’m still convinced that it should work from CD as it works from USB stick.
I guess that you tested build on a laptop (possibly a HP-laptop or some ”e-machine” perhaps)

You can also test using the complete Hiren ISO to se if you get a better result.
Report back if you can use the “original” Hiren ISO.
