Script-collection updated :O

As EasyBoot_v6.5 has been released, major update of my script-collection has been performed
Note: script-collection mainly support EasyBoot_v6.5.2.695

However most of script works correctly even you run lower version of EasyBoot (but no guaranties!).

EDIT:
Several changes done to script-collection - including "EasyBoot-HIREN_v14*.script"
Hiren changed archive from 'uha' to 7z-archives in v15.
Script has been adjusted to work to both cases

You can simply replace folder "balder" with the new downloaded in zip-file!
You have download below as usual!

hi
thx for supportin us

Posted by balder on Oct. 23 2011,11:52
@farzanmicrosoft

Thank you :)  @farzanmicrosoft

Please, do a new download as I found some minor bugs in several scripts (script halted) :O
I'm sorry for this inconvenience, but script-collection is modified in many ways to fully support EasyBoot_v6.5

Major update is done to "easyboot-usb-ghost.script"
This script is able to repair damaged USB drives (typically: "Bad MBR handler" or similar problem).
And a lot of other options as well :;):
Note: you need to provide with Ghost32_v8.exe from your own source due to licence rights!

EDIT!
If during use of "easyboot-usb-ghost.script" recieve a messege "kolla" then do a final download to get the right version in place!

Hello balder

Thanks for Updated the scrips !!!

I have testing you Shutdown for EasyBoot "memdisk SHUTDOWN.IMA.GZ" its not working !!!

I have expand the SHUTDOWN.IMA.GZ and the SHUTDOWN.IMA copy in the DISK1/EZBOOT/ folder and menu for EasyBoot "run SHUTDOWN.IMA" this is working perfect !!!

@AMG

Quote: "memdisk SHUTDOWN.IMA.GZ" its not working"

You are correct @AMG :)

Scripts is focus to EasyBoot_v6.5 and memdisk cannot be used that way in easyboot :(

To shutdown you simply use menu command:  shutdown
To reboot you use menu command:  reboot

It is as simple as that and works from both CD\DVD-unit as from USB drive
I will remove\modify "USB_Resources" in balder.zip in future as most part is not suitable to EasyBoot_v6.5

Another important menu command is 'swap;boot 80' that is used to start harddisk (your windows system) when you booted to EasyBoot from USB drive
You may say it is an development from 'boot 80' that still is used when launching EasyBoot from CD\DVD-unit

Thanks for enlighten me @ AMG :;):

It happens to me as well - this is most likely a "bios-related" problem ???

Note: when you launch 'swap;boot 80' Windows OP-system even isn't up and run at all.
However on some rare motherboards - BIOS 'flips out' and report other external units (typically floppy drives).

Make really sure you totally have inactivated your floppy unit in BIOS

Hmmm... Who use floppy diskettes these days ???
Okay - I admit my grandchild continuously is asking: Grandpa, what's the use with these?
Note: I have totally disconnected my floppy unit in BIOS

Scripts has been reworked to support format of USB hard drives to FAT32 .

If running Vista/Win7 you do not have the option to format USB hard drives to FAT32.
But "EasyBoot-grub-ISO.script" and "EasyBoot-USB_v2.script" now has this option built-in to script - though it shouldn't be possible :;):

Note: File-system FAT32 has a 'natural' limitation for the maximum file size it can handle - which is 4GB :O

Script automatically detects if USB hard drive is used and switch to a different built-in format tool to make it possible to format such USB hard drive to FAT32

Scripts has been tested to both WinXP as to Win7
Though Win7 is recommended as first choice to run scripts in ???

Note: In folder "USB_Resources" you have a floppy image file "harddisk.img"
Floppy image 'harddisk.img' is used if EasyBoot menu command: 'swap;boot 80' doesn't work correctly
Copy 'harddisk.img' to folder ezboot and use menu command:  run harddisk.img

In every post I write in this forum I have a download link in the very end (lowest part of every post I write)

So simply scroll down to : "Download complete set of scripts including help file HERE" in any post I write :;):

Note1: EasyBoot do not have built-in facility to create animated boot screen(s) - or animated background or animated buttons etcetera :O

Note2: several of script functionality is nowadays built-in to EasyBoot - but may of some 'obscure reasons'' still be useful in some odd situations in future (or today)
Scripts is mainly dedicated to EasyBoot but a few of scripts can be used for "general purpose".

Attention! Please push on ' READ_ME.html' in folder 'balder' to get a first hint 'how-to-use' scripts :;):
