It can be run from EasyBoot - I have tested
Note: 'ppm12'-version from paragon is a little bit strange in its behavior
It cannot be run using 'standard method' ('run' or 'bcdw' or by my script)
You must use 'memdisk'

Do it this way:

1. Copy ppm12.iso to folder EZBOOT

2. Use menu command:  memdisk ppm12.iso  (or whatever name you use to ISO-file)

3. Tick 'Joliet' when creating ISO in EasyBoot

Solution works from both CD\DVD as from USB stick
Note: make sure you have updated 'memdisk' in folder EZBOOT
If not, copy memdisk from folder EasyBoot\resource to folder EZBOOT, overwriting existing file memdisk

However, paragon12 behaves a little bit strange like this:

When using original ISO from CD, it launch directly and I chose 'Normal Mode'
ISO 'loads up' and I get the 'blue screen and have to waith up to 1 minute before I get the final menu to chose from - this is normal

But when launched from EasyBoot menu it behaves like this:

ISO is loaded to RAM and launched using 'memdisk' - this takes more than 20 seconds - so far so good (I can live with that)
Then I chose 'Normal Mode' as usual and paragon loads normally and I finally get the 'blue screen' - this is normal.
BUT - now it takes more than 3 minutes before I get to the final menu. It looks to have stalled :O
I guess paragon must analyse that 'memdisk-area' before going to the 'real harddisk units' ???

BUT it works okay - you have to accept this delay - it's like when I got married - I was forced to wait before my bride showed up (very nervous) :p

I haven't found any other way to solve this issue - but as said - it works - and that is the main goal in my opinion :;):

Thank you for the download (easier to test solutions that way)

regards balder

hello balder,

I've try it to use

1. "memdisk ppm12.iso". It boots and I press the "Normal Mode" , after the bottom blue running bar finish. I've got a black screen with :

WARNING: Ancient bootloader, some functionality may be limited!

No matter what key I press , no response

2. I made a kicker image "ppm12.img.gz" , which contains grldr and a menu.lst , the menu.lst is :

find --set-root --ignore-floppies /ISO/PPM12.ISO
map /ISO/PPM12.ISO (hd32)
map --hook
chainloader (hd32)
boot

This time the error message is quite similiar as the prior one :

WARNING: Ancient bootloader, some functionality may be limited!
Probing EDD (edd=off to disable)...

balder , have you encounter this before ? As you didn't mention in your practice.

Thanks for help

Yes I have, when using my script to launch ISO-file
However I used 'memdisk' and burned to CD-RW and also to a USB stick and tested - did work correctly :)
It also responded after that delay when tested from Virtual PC
I guess it is extremely sensitive in some way
Another strange thing is, when opening ISO (I used UltraIso) the 68 MB sized ISO is recognized as a 1.3 GB sized ISO-file (661 MB overload)!!!
This is strange ???

Anyway, I have tested once more time, and it worked - but as said - at least 3 minutes blue background picture before final menu shows up :O
It is something fuzzy with latest releases from paragon - causing us problems we don't want to face :(

But honestly, I managed to make it run correctly :)

EDIT:
Done some more testing mainly from USB stick...
I'm able to run ISO created by EasyBoot (from USB stick) simply by using my script 'easyboot-usb_v2.script' to launch ISO (ISO created by EasyBoot) and inside that ISO, I have paragon12.iso launched with menu command;  memdisk pp12.iso

In fact, I can run from both FAT32 as from NTFS as ISO created by EasyBoot is launched directly

hello balder ,

Yes , this time I use usb stick to test. The result is same as yours. Thanks , but also have to wait a long time for the blue screen to change.

The only thing is not only to test by cd/dvd and vmware.

Thanks for all your help.
