hello balder ,Sorry balder , I've forgot that you've taught me how to run Win8 in Easyboot. I remembe you've made me a kicker image for Win8.
Actually , what I want is to run 2 programs in Easyboot menu :
Win8PE
Windows 8
For Win8PE may be I can make it as a Win8PE.iso and use command run Win8PE.iso
But for Windows 8 , I've to run you Windows 8 kicker image to call the "bootmgr"

Yes that one shouldn't cause you any problem
Note: its pointless to extract folders and files from a 'normal' Win8PE as such WinPE is built from source of NT6-system (in this case, source from a Windows-8)
As WinPE built from NT6-system always is loaded to RAM before executed, we can use ISO-file and as you wrote, use menu command: run win8pe.iso
However there are sometimes some odd build where you must copy 'programs' to the root of EasyBoot (as you already know this is 'disk1') - but not for a normal build

Well, actually not if using EasyBoot menu...
If you plan to use EasyBoot you simply use: run bootmgr (or: run \bootmgr if you copied 'bootmgr' to folder disk1 as I do)
However you can always use my kicker-image 'setupnt6.img' from folder 'balder\ USB_Resources'
In EasyBoot: run setupnt6.img
Or you can use 'setupwin8.img' from 'balder\ USB_Resources' but then having 'bootmgr' related to Win8 copied to folder disk1 but you must then rename 'bootmgr' to 'setupwin8'

But one thing I've to make it clear , I'm not doing anything with my previous job like usb harddisk multi-boot with Easyboot , that have disk1 , disk2 ............
I'm trying to add Easyboot to my UEFI/GPT harddisk which has Windows 8 in it.
Before , actually what I want to is add a Win8PE to my UEFI/GPT harddisk. I can do this easily in Bios Windows 8 harddisk. No problem at all , finally find that it's entirely different from UEFI/GPT mode. So I try to find on the web and the Win8 forums , no one can give me the exact answer. Even Microsoft has the miss-leading tutorial < http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh265131(v=ws.10).aspx > .
My problem is that added Win8PE can't either be booted or if booted , the normal programs in it can't be run with the following error message :
The sybsystem needed to support the image type is not present
Besides , when Win8PE is added , the bootmenu should be :
Windows 8
Win8PE (with 30sec countdown time)
But the actual case is :
1. Sometimes computer boot directly into Windows 8 without passing through the bootmenu
2. Sometimes computer boot with menu , but the 30sec countdown time is missing. You have to choose the menu manually !!!
I've spend a lot of time and effort on failure. Disappointed , but suddenly I think that I've also done this in my usb-harddisk :
Partition 1 : EFI + Easyboot
Partition 2 : Win82Go (This is both Bios and UEFI boot)
I'm not sure whether I can use this idea and lead to succeed. I've tried new made Easyboot + Win8PE of no problem. Now I'll continue to try adding Windows 8 to my UEFI/GPT harddisk.
I know it's not easy and may encounter a lot of failure , but I'm willing to try. As I want to create this Win8PE is for Recovery purpose. That is Win8PE + Ghost + my mini VB6 program to Backup & Recovery Windows Image.

hello blader ,I fail in adding Easyboot to UEFI Windows 8, at boot , no trace of Easyboot at all. Instead it boot directly in Windows 8

1. What file-system do you use to harddisk?
2. In what way do you launch EasyBoot (ISO-file or file ezldr)?
3. If launch EasyBoot from USB stick drive you of course can use EasyBoot menu - but can you from such menu boot into the GPT-harddisk - is this possible?
Note: EasyBoot cannot launch from a NTFS or GPT partition as FAT32 is needed to 'boot-file' ezldr
However we can launch ISO-file of EasyBoot but we need grub or isolinux to this
Grub cannot be launched if having UEFI-boot (we now this already) so it looks like 'moment22-case'!
Is it possible to create a small (perhaps hided) partition with FAT32 and use this as a kind of 'first boot-partition' - example < HERE >
This way EasyBoot menu pops up and you can launch whatever
Though I guess this isn't possible as harddisk still uses GPT-table
I hate my motherboard (no UEFI-boot) - I must as soon as possible grab a newer hardware
No promises but I'm working on it
