Forum: EasyBoot Topic: Windows XP with Hiren's Boot CD integrated started by: moon510 Posted by moon510 on Jul. 08 2006,09:29
Hi,I am trying to make a multiboot Cd with Windows XP and Hiren's boot cd. I am sure i put everything in place. In Easyboot window, under Menu tab, I put "run hiren.ima" command for the boot image file of Hirenn's boot CD. I put the image in ...disk1/ezboot directory. I also extracted boot secotr for Windows XP CD using bbie.exe utility (Bart's). Put it also in ezboot direcory. The command I put for booting XP is "run booxp.bin" (without quotes). So, I made ISO file, burned it on to the CD-RW. So i put cd in the drive and boot the computer form it. What happens? The computer boots to Hiren's boot Cd corectly. That works fine, but when I choose to run Windows XP setup, it fails. It starts to boot from hard disk. What is wrong? Is it possible, anyway, to make a nultiboot cd of such a combination? Hi,Thanks for the reply :-). I have tried with w2ksect.bin, but still no good result. Therefore, I thought that the boot sector might be causing the problem. Subsequently I extracted the boot sector from my Windows XP bootable CD-ROM. I tried with that one, and again no effect. Anyway, thanks again. I'll mamage it somwhow :-) |
