I am attempting to create an unattended install of windows 2000 advanced server from an msdn subscription disk.  The menu does not appear; however, it does boot from the disk.  When the setup starts I get prompted to insert a prior version of windows and hit enter.  The setup fails during the disk format phase.  Has anyone attempted this before?

I have done the following:

- slip streamed service pack 4.
- created an unattended.txt file with setupmgr.exe
- renamed it winnt.sys and copied it to the I386\ directory.

I would like to included several other directories with software to install once the basis OS is installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

AWSS

The file name should be winnt.sif .

Changed SetupSourcePath in the Txtsetup.sif file
From: SetupSourcePath = "\ENGLISH\WIN2000\ADV_SERV\"
To: SetupSourcePath = "\"

The easyboot menu now appears and the setup works unattended.

My orginal post had a type for winnt.sif.

This software is great.
