Hello everybody -- I'd like to create a DVD with Easy boot and Acronis 7 and add an image of a Windows partition winxp.tib.

I also want Partition Manager and the Acronics Boot manager as optional programs on this DVD

(4.7 GB DVD -- my Win xp image is around 3 GB at maximum compression so there's plenty of space on 1 DVD.

I could then use this as a stand alone restore instead of having to boot a CD --then hunt around for the DVD and insert the DVD.

This used to work for Acronis V 6.0 but can't get it to work on V7.0

(Easy Boot is fine to create a Menu on a CD -- even with Acronis V 7.0).

Great program -- but anybody managed Acronis 7 ON A DVD yet.

Thanks.

For TrueImage 7, please see  < http://www.ezbsys.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=23 >.

xoben,

I have used the technique you linked above to successfully build a boot menu that will allow TrueImage to run.  I then tried to insert a xxx.tib (backup file) into disk1 and build an iso with EB.  Every time I reach approx. 20% the .iso generation quits (no errors, etc).  The total size is approx 750MB, but should be 2.79GB + 0.56GB.

After this failure I removed the xxx.tib file from disk1, and built a 558 mb .iso successfully.  I then used the advice from urie here:

and tried to use ultraiso to add the xxx.tib to the 558mb .iso.  The ultra .iso process failed at approx 20%, again with no errors.  The resultant file was 768MB.  I am using EB 4.56

Any advice is welcome!
Thank You
