Ok, I have installed new vesion of UltraIso 6.55, and Easyboot 4.56.

I use Easyboot to create a 2.88MB img (288.img) using setup98.img as the seed image.

I then using UltraIso to add files to "288.img".

However, the properties says disk image (not bootable).

When I include it in my ezboot directory, and use the run 288.img, I get an "Insert bootable disk" message.

Here is my question:  How do I make "288.img" bootable?
(I can't start with a 2.88mb floppy, I don't have one or a drive capable of creating one.)

and my other question:  Does the boot sector come from the seed image file, or from somewhere else?

Once the new image is opened in UltraISO, the files added, could someone please give the exact commands to both add a boot sector to the image, and check to see whether the image is now bootable.

Also, I can't seem to copy folders or create new folders in the new 288.img file.  I can copy files.  Can someone try to copy a folder to the img file using UltraISO, and tell exacting command to do it?

I appreciate the help.  I am sure there is something simple that I am missing, and just can't seem to find it.  Thanks.

Some tips for this question:
1) For a data CD image, UltraISO displays 'Bootable' or 'Non Bootable'.
2) For Audio CD image, UltraISO displays 'Audio CD"
3) For Video CD image, UltraISO displays 'Video CD"
4) For floppy disk image, UltraISO displays 'Disk Image"

Your 288.img is a "Disk Image".ALL floppy image has a boot record located at sector #0, and EasyBoot copys this record to new image from seed image you specified.

Thank you for the explanation.  The 2880.img was bootable from the seed image.

However, everyone should note that in the current version you can not add directory's to the image, only files to the root.  I would hope that this feature would be added in UltraISO 6.57
