one feature that i miss very much in ultraiso is a function which allows for checking of errors in opened images.

as you surely know, there are types of images (e.g. those with 2352 bytes per sector) which contain not only the pure data per sector but also the EDC/ECC (error detection/correction code).  it would be very nice to have a function in ultraiso to re-calculate the checksums based on the actual contents in the sector and check them against the EDCs which are stored in the image. that would tell if the sector is corrupted or not.
an even more advanced function could then possibly allow for recovery of the original sector contents by using the EDC code.

exactly this functionality is already implemented in < CDmage >, an awesome cd image tool which unfortunately has not been further developed in the past years. ultraiso could be a perfect replacement for it if it only would have this error scanning function.

what do you think? any chance that you will implement it in future releases?

Many thanks for your suggestions.

Sure, we will provide this feature in future versions soon.
