I would like to know if there are any differences between the sizes of a file in .bin and .iso. In other words I would like to know if it is bad that when I convert a bin file to iso, the size changes. Please any information will help.

1) .ISO format includes user data only; .BIN format includes additional phisycal information such as SYNC, ECC and EDC codes. So .BIN image is always 15% larger than .ISO image.
2) In general, converting BIN to ISO is safe, provided there is no copy-protected information resided in ECC or EDC area. You can confirm that by mounting the newly created ISO image to a virtual CD-ROM, then run programs on the CD.

PS: Audio CD/Video CD images cannot be converted to standard ISO format, because the sector structure is quite different.
