I created an ISO file from an existing CD-ROM I have.  I extracted 2 files.  Deleted those files from the ISO.

I made some minor edits to these 2 files, then I added them to the ISO file.

So far everything seems fine.

I save the ISO then I burn it to a CDR.  After burning I can only open one of the 2 files.  The other gives the following error

Cannot open the E:\PARAM.SYS file.
Make sure a disk is in the drive you specified.

I received no errors while burning the ISO and when I open the file in the ISO prior to burning it opens properly.

Any Help?

thanks
Baz

Suggestion:
1) Open the ISO file, choose 'File'->'Create File Checksums' from main menu to get a .md5 file
2) Choose 'Tools'->'Verify CD/DVD Checksums' to verify files on the burned CDR

I tried what you suggested and the checksum for the file in question fails.  All the others are correct.  Is there anything I can do to get around this?

Possible problem:
1) Try to burn another CDR, and see if it is a media related problem
2) If the CDR is too full, files reside on the outer border of the disc may not be accessed properly. My suggestion is:  Open the modified ISO, Choose 'File'->'Properties' from main menu and check 'Optimize', then save as a new ISO and try to burn again.
