What is the correct method for creating a bootable USB stick from an ISO image from Microsoft MSDN. I have a Win XP SP3 image from MSDN, and have attempted to create a bootable USB stick and have tried booting two different machines with it. On one machine, I get "Start booting from USB device...." and just stops there. On another machine, I get that same message, then "Setup is inspecting your computer's hardware configuration...", then "INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing, status 18. Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit. " It is my understanding that all I need is the MSDN OS ISO file, Do I need to prep the USB stick with something else? Thanks LThibx Posted by xoben on May 04 2011,00:22
For Windows XP, please read a PINNED topic at < http://www.ezbsystems.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=2440 > .
