My main PC is a dual boot setup, formerly XP Pro and Vista Ultimate, both 32-bit.  I have all SATA hard drives, and a Samsung SATA burner and a Benq IDE burner.  For some reason, my burn speeds on the Benq were limited to 2.4x no matter what, but it still ripped like a champ.  Burns on the SATA were fine.

After trying everything I could think of, from various drivers, etc. I uninstalled Ultra ISO (which had a virtual drive created as drive L (my SATA nad IDE were M and N, respectively).  I tried this, since Nero strangely reported my IDE drive as drive L, but still burned fine.  Voila!  Burns on the IDE drive returned to full speed after removal.  Quite strange, but upon reinstallation of Ultra ISO, the slowdown returned.  I'd present that as incontravertable evidence.

It seems a problem with drive letter conflicting , please read a related topic at < http://forum.ezbsystems.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=1736 > for how to change drive letter of ISODrive.

You can also disable virtual drive of UltraISO: < http://forum.ezbsystems.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=1660 > .
