Is there a way to get erd2005 iso to boot with bcdw?  I get NTDLR error each time.  I get the same with a PE boot disc.  Can I do something to get both to work within Easyboot?

Thanks,

Issues concerning BartPe and ERD.

Erd 2005
Do it this way:

1. Copy folder I386 from ERD-CD (or from ISO-file) to EasyBoot\disk1

2. Rename I386 to “ERD5” (no quotes).

3. Copy ident files (WIN51 and WIN51IS) from root on ERD-CD (or from inside of ISO-file) to EasyBoot\disk1

4. Copy w2ksect.bin to ezboot-folder (w2ksect.bin comes with EasyBoot. You find it originally in ezboot-
folder).

5. Rename w2ksect.bin to erd2005.bin

Now to hex edit:
Step 1. Start EasyBoot >> Tools >> Replace Text… >> Find file >> erd2005.bin in ezboot-folder
In “Text to find” you put in “I386” (no quotes) and in “Replace with” you put in “ERD5” (no quotes) push “Replace”.  Only one text string should be replaced if you have done right!
Attention: use uppercase (CAPS). Like this ERD5 not erd5

Step 2. This is a little bit tricky.
Again use EasyBoot >> Tools >> Replace Text… >> Find file >> setupldr.bin in folder ERD5
In “Text to find” you put in “i386” (no quotes and note: i386 not I386) and in “Replace with” you put in “ERD5” (no quotes) push “Replace”. Three text strings should be replaced if you have done right!
Attention: use uppercase (CAPS). Like this ERD5 not erd5

Step 3.  Again use EasyBoot >> Tools >> Replace Text… >> Find file >> setupldr.bin in folder ERD5
In “Text to find” you put in “I386” (no quotes and note this time you use: I386 not i386) and in “Replace with” you put in “ERD5” (no quotes) push “Replace”. One text string should be replaced if you have done right!
Attention: use uppercase (CAPS). Like this ERD5 not erd5

Use run command in EasyBoot as usual: run erd2005.bin
---------------------------------------
Tutorial for BartPe:

1. Move/copy folder “programs” from BartPe to EasyBoot\disk1

2. Rename i386 folder in BartPe to BART

3. Move/copy folder BART to EasyBoot\disk1

4. Copy w2ksect.bin to ezboot-folder (w2ksect.bin comes with EasyBoot. You find it originally in ezboot-
folder).

5. Rename w2ksect.bin to bart.bin

Now to hex edit:
Step 1. Start EasyBoot >> Tools >> Replace Text… >> Find file >> bart.bin in ezboot-folder
In “Text to find” you put in “I386” (no quotes) and in “Replace with” you put in “BART” (no quotes) push “Replace”.  Only one text string should be replaced if you have done right!
Attention: use uppercase (CAPS). Like this BART not bart

Step 2. Again use EasyBoot >> Tools >> Replace Text… >> Find file >> setupldr.bin in folder BART
In “Text to find” you put in “i386” (no quotes and note: i386 not I386) and in “Replace with” you put in “BART” (no quotes) push “Replace”. Four text strings should be replaced if you have done right! (if using XP-sp2 as base when making BartPe)
Attention: use uppercase (CAPS). Like this BART not bart

Don’t forget ident files on the root (EasyBoot\disk1): Win51ip and Win51ip.sp2 (if you used XP-sp2 as base when making BartPe). Note: You can use same ident-files to different system-folders (i386-folders).

Use run command in EasyBoot as usual: run bart.bin

Hmmmm…mistake from me. I noticed that you mentioned Ghost pe, not bartpe.

Tutorial for ghost pe. Do it this way:
Attention: this concerns only Ghost-10

1. Copy folder I386 from ghost-CD (or from ghost-ISO-file) to EasyBoot\disk1

2. Rename I386 to GHPE

3. Download hacked setupldr.bin from here= http://www.encoremedias.com/MSFN/setupldr.bin
Replace setupldr.bin in folder GHPE whit this hacked file.

4. Copy ident files (WIN51 and WIN51IA and finally WIN51IA.SP1) from root of ghost-pe-CD (or from inside of ISO-file) to EasyBoot\disk1

5. Copy w2ksect.bin to ezboot-folder (w2ksect.bin comes with EasyBoot. You find it originally in ezboot-
folder).

6. Rename w2ksect.bin to ghostpe.bin

Now to hex edit:
Step 1. Start EasyBoot >> Tools >> Replace Text… >> Find file >> ghostpe.bin in ezboot-folder
In “Text to find” you put in “I386” (no quotes) and in “Replace with” you put in “GHPE” (no quotes) push “Replace”.  Only one text string should be replaced if you have done right!
Attention: use uppercase (CAPS). Like GHPE not ghpe

Step 2. This is a little bit tricky.
Again use EasyBoot >> Tools >> Replace Text… >> Find file >> setupldr.bin in folder GHPE
In “Text to find” you put in “i386” (no quotes and note: i386 not I386) and in “Replace with” you put in “GHPE” (no quotes) push “Replace”. Five text strings should be replaced if you have done right!
Attention: use uppercase (CAPS). Like GHPE not ghpe

Step 3.  Again use EasyBoot >> Tools >> Replace Text… >> Find file >> setupldr.bin in folder GHPE
In “Text to find” you put in “I386” (no quotes and note this time you use: I386 not i386) and in “Replace with” you put in “GHPE” (no quotes) push “Replace”. Two text strings should be replaced if you have done right!
Attention: use uppercase (CAPS). ). Like GHPE not ghpe

Use run command in EasyBoot as usual: run ghostpe.bin

In this way you still have space for one originally i386-folder (in case you need to use originally folder name).

Which steps are required to get ERD Commander working in Bartpe? Or is it just the one that says "Tutorial for Bartpe"?

thanks

I followed your directions exactly for ERD05 but it has a problem with the network (it says to check winbom and I tried adding that file)  Also it can't find an installation until I logoff, and logon again.  Any ideas?

When making ISO, please test with using UltraIso instead of EasyBoot>>”Make ISO”

And read this, just in case: http://forum.ezbsystems.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=1207

Hi Eureka,

I'm trying to make a boot dvd with the following options:

- BartPE
- Knoppix Live cd 5.1
- ERD Commander 2005
- Windows XP Home install cd
- Win98 image
- reboot

only ERD Commander wouldn't work.

I make an iso file with mkisofs.exe so BartPE and Linux work.
I use this command:
CODE

mkisofs.exe -iso-level 4 -volid "BartPE 3.0" -b loader.bin -J -R -joliet-long -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -o "C:\EasyBoot\iso\BPE4.iso" "C:\EasyBoot\BartPE 3.0 Alpha"

I get the NTLDR can not be found error.
When I try to make the iso with ultraiso, BartPE and Knoppix won't work.
Is there a way to get these programs working?
