Okay guys bear with me because I feel like I'm asking something that I should have found through the search but I could not.
I'm trying to make a utility cd that has a few things on them.
One of them is a bootable dos image with some probes and tools etc, other is an image of pmagic dos, other is some file recovery and image tool.
Of all these I have an ISO image that boots fine in virtualPC.
So, as any noobling does, I follow the instructions - I extract the boot information, and unpack the contents of the files to the cd root.
But then the trouble begins.
I overwrite two autoexec.bats and only one thing seems to work in the new easyboot myiso - logically, the last one I added. Now, must I really put everything in one ISO so that you get another boot menu after a boot menu option? Or must I put everything in one dir and type the command after I get the prompt?
Please tell me how to solve that step by step - I am proficient with ultraedit.
So, fumbling around with this, I found another thing that may not be solved but I would like to know how it works.
Why can I not access the other files that I put on the CD? Are they hidden? Is there a way to access them?

You should create seperate .IMG files for each DOS-based tools - one IMG for one tool.

SO what you are saying is that the .img file CONTAINS the autoexec.bat info, and I can leave it out, and everything will work fine?
/me feels stupid...
Then what does the actual .img file consist of? That what gets transferred to a floppy when you do 'sys a:' plus the autoexec.bat and config.sys plus the file information of the ISO?
(I've tried putting files in the iso AFTER I extracted the boot img file and they did not show up in the disk)

you can make a physical bootable floppy first, and make sure it can start you PC from floppy drive. Then create a floppy image and use 'run xxx.img' to load in by EasyBoot.
