hello
I ran the instructions. But Windows runs away. Menu and select applications not mind. It's the same with Windows 8 and the Active Boot Disk Ntfs run from flash memory format? Please guide.
Thanks

1. Copy ISO-file of active boot disk to folder EZBOOT

So in folder 'disk1' you now at least have a folder EZBOOT and a file BOOTDISK.KEY

1. Create your complete build in easyboot as usual (all files in folder disk1 and menu system that are in folder ezboot as usual).

2. You can test build when finished with your build (use created ISO and run in "Virtual PC" or similar so you now it works correctly).

3. Move all files and folders from folder disk1 except folder ezboot to a temporary folder (we only need folder ezboot left in folder disk1).

4. Again create ISO as usual in EasyBoot (ISO is now much smaller as only folder ezboot is left in folder disk1).

5. Use my script 'easyboot-usb_v2.script' to make your USB drive bootable and point to ISO created by EasyBoot when script ask for ISO-file.
Note: In script check: "Force format to NTFS (Default is FAT32)"

6. When script finished, copy all files and folders to the root of USB drive from the temporary folder you used in step 3.

7. Congratulation - you are finished

What instructions? Do you referring to this topic HERE ???

The Active Boot case shouldn't be any problem (apart from you need the 'CD-key' on the root) ???
Procedure is to copy ISO-file of Active Boot Disk to folder EZBOOT and use menu command:  run  active.iso  (or whatever name you use to ISO-file)

Setup of Windows-8 from USB drive works fine as well

What do you mean by this???

hello

I mean, Windows 8.1 with Active Boot Disk is. Because of the compression technology used in the windows, apparently plans to USB format must be Ntfs. Please use this guide
Thanks

Okay, what I can find out (or guess) is that you plan to run Win8.1 from USB ???
If you plan to run setup of Win8.1  then you can use FAT32 but NOT if you plan to run Win8.1 from USB directly (usually called 'Windows To Go')

Which of the above scenarios do you plan to do?

Run 'Windows To Go' (run Win8.1 directly from USB stick) ???
Or run setup of Win8.1 from USB stick ???
Please enlighten me ???

Note: active boot disk can always be launched using it's ISO-file (put ISO in EZBOOT and use menu command:  run active.iso)

Run setup of Win8.1 from USB stick is easy to solve - do it this way:

1. Copy all the content of the Win8.1 source (or extract from ISO) to folder disk1

2. Use menu command:  run /bootmgr

3. When creating ISO in EasyBoot, don't tick 'Optimize' or 'DOS(8:3) but you can tick 'Joliet' (though it works without ticking 'Joliet' anyway)

4. 'Burn' to USB stick as usual

Above works - I know because I have tested this
Note: EasyBoot automatically use FAT32 when 'Burning' to USB stick, and this works fine for Win8.1 if only setup Win8.1 is your goal

-----------------

Now to the Active Boot Disk case...

This is a little bit tricky

We cannot copy folders and files related to Active boot disk to folder disk1 in EasyBoot as folders from Win8.1 already is there :O

Instead we can use the ISO of Active boot disk (not extracting anything any ware only use the ISO-file)
But the problem is the 'BOOTDISK.KEY' which must be implemented into file 'boot.wim' inside ISO-file
Read how this can be done in post nr;2HERE

A friendly warning: this is tricky and very frustrating as it is easy to fail - but be patient and keep on untill it is solved
You must have 'BOOTDISK.KEY' implemented into 'BOOT.wim' to make Active boot disk work fully correctly

Attention! If run Win7\8 you must set UAC (User-Account-Control) to lowest setting and reboot computer while using script and then reset setting of UAC when finished

If you are doing this from a Win8 system then you must do more to deactivate UAC - read HERE :O

I believe the Win8.1 is the most stupid system I ever used :(

The way you say you've tested. But the error encountered during the installation of the windows. However, if your USB stick is formatted with ntfs error encountered during the installation of Windows does not. Perhaps due to compression technology (install.esd) is. I do not know exactly. Is there a solution to this problem?

Yes you can have a point there - this can cause problems ???

There is no easy way to convert Windows 8.1 Install.esd file to a plain Install.wim :(

But it isn't impossible - read HERE

If I where in your position, I would instead try to find a 'standard' source of Win8.1 (the 'standard' that uses the plain wim-file) :)
The you can use FAT32 as usual :;):

YES. I mean, you saw correctly. The first solution is difficult. I prefer to advise your second act. Thank you to answer questions patiently.
