hello balder ,

I've made an iso boot usb thumb drive with your winbuilder program. So gurb4dos is added to the thumb drive mbr.

How can I remove this grub4dos in mbr ?

As I copy the Win8 files to this thumb drive. It only boot with grub4dos.

Thanks a lot.

That's a good (and interesting) question ???

Initially I would test following 2 procedures

First Choice: Right-click to USB drive and choose to do a full format of USB drive (uncheck 'Quick Format')
Note: Have a cup of coffee (or tea) ready because by uncheck 'Quick Format' it takes a long time to format USB drive

Second choice (in case first choice failed to 'reset' your USB drive):

Test this:

1. Launch EasyBoot and choose to 'Burn' to USB drive

2. Choose to perform: Xpress Boot>>Write New drive Boot Sector>>Windows Vista/7/8

Test if boot-manager 'grldr' is gone :)

hello balder

Thanks for your reply and they both work

Now I found another way is to use ISO2USB to write a Windows image to that USB thumb drive.

I think it's quite like your second method.

Thanks a lot.
