As far as I know is ESET built from Windows NT6 system and NOT based on linux\knoppix system

Could you please open your created ESET 'rescue' ISO (Use UltraIso), and tell me what files and folders that is inside ISO-file :;):

I have folder 'BOOT, 'EFI', and folder 'SOURCES' and finally file 'bootmgr' and this tells me I'm dealing with a typical Windows NT6-system.
But you are talking about a folder 'casper' ??? :O

Please enlighten me

He, he you are 100% correct - I now remember I have seen this before :D

Basically it is an UBUNTU-system (Linux-based UBUNTU) and it works nice

However there are some peculiarities - it needs to be treated in a special way ???

Do it this way:

1. Download special made 'kicker-image' from my download HERE

2. Put downloaded floppy image to folder EZBOOT and use menu command:  run linuxeset.img

3. Copy eset.iso-file to folder 'disk1' and rename ISO to exactly LINUXESET.ISO  (not linuxeset.iso must be uppercase to letters)

4. Open LINUXESET.ISO-file (I used UltraIso) and extract folder casper to folder 'disk1'
Note: DO NOT delete folder 'casper' inside ISO-file - keep ISO in original shape - we need folder 'casper' both on the 'root' in EasyBoot as in ISO-file as well

5. Create ISO as usual in EasyBoot with 'Joliet' ticked

This works from both CD\DVD as from USB drive :;):

Well in this case I simply modified an working 'kicker-image'
Note1: 'kicker-image' is basically a boot-loader and that boot-loader is the famous grub boot loader
Note2: EasyBoot is also a boot-loader

Anyway, its easy, do it this way:

1. Open 'kicker-image' (I use UltraIso) and extract text-file 'menu.lst' to somewhere

2. Edit text-file 'menu.lst' (use notepad) to 'kick-start' your file (ISO or EXE etcetera)

3. When done, insert text-file 'menu.lst' back to 'kicker-image' and save changes when closing UltraIso

Above is easy, however the trick here is to find out what text-lines to use and here is when Google comes in

Also notice that I use a floppy-image (the 'kicker-image' is a simple floppy image) that is heavily reduced in size
Reason to use a reduced size is that in some odd environment we need to use 'memdisk' command and to speed up this I use a floppy image with less size
Its a question to think before and not after

It is more a matter of experience than a matter of exact when needed ???
When I run in to the always coming sequence of 'mission impossible', then it is time to 'thinking out of the box' which in this case, is to test with 'kicker-image'

Final note: It is possible to reduce size of ESET ISO-file (LINUXESET.ISO) as we use 'frugal solution'
Test with deleting following files inside ISO to reduce its size:
Delete '00_base.squashfs', '01_minimal.squashfs', '02_standard.squashfs', '03_desktop.squashfs', '04_eset.squashfs', '05_l10n.squashfs'

ISO is hereby reduced with up to 300MB which can come in handy if using CD\DVD and you are in trouble with the final size of the build in EasyBoot :;):
