I never could run a Windows OS via EasyBootMenu from a usb flash drive. Installing yes, but until now no running.
- I tried the file from Balder "harddisk.img" and put it with the other image files on the usb EasyBootMenu stick.
- Ezb load command: "vfloppy /iso/harddisk.img"
Just changed the menu.lst in the image, because I use an usb flash drive that is recognized as "fixed harddisk".
changed the (hd1,0) to (hd0,1)
The EZB bootfiles are on the 1st partition, actif, hidden.
The Windows 8.1 operating system is on the 2nd partition of the usb, this is an accessible ntfs partition, not hidden.
A sources map with install.wim, ei.cfg and setup.exe is on the 2nd partition to install Windows from ezb command.
Among other bootable utilities I can now Install or run Windows at choice from this very fast Sandisk Extreme usb.
This is an exceptional brand of usb3 flash drive. All others i tried were "removable", and i could only install from them.

Could you hereby launch the op-system on the second partition (not hided partition) - if not test this:
You could create a 'tag-file' to set path to partition two by changing text-file 'menu.lst' in floppy image 'harddisk.img'
Do it this way:
1. Create a file ''sandisk' on partition two on your USB-Sandisk (no extension to file - compare with 'win51' in WinXP)
2. Open 'harddisk.img' (I used UltraIso to this operation) and extract text-file 'menu.lst' to somewhere
3. Open 'menu.lst' (use notepad) and change text to:
find --set-root --ignore-floppies /sandisk
chainloader /bootmgr
4. Save changes to 'menu.lst'
5. Inject back textfile menu.lst to 'harddisk.img'
6. In UltraIso chose 'Save as' and save to folder EZBOOT using name: usb.img (or whatever)
7. You can use 'run' or 'vfloppy' to launch image in EasyBoot menu (finally push 'Save' in EasyBoot to make changes take effect)
Note1: If above fail to work, put 'tagfile' to the hided partition instead 
Note2: To avoid performing a complete reinstallation to your USB-Sandisk (including replacing files in folder EZBOOT on that first hided partition), you only need to replace your EasyBoot menu and copying the newly created file 'usb.img' to folder EZBOOT on USB-Sandisk

Not only usb sticks, recognized as harddisk in windows,
like Sandisk Extreme, works with Win2Go, but also all
notebookdrives/ssd's in usb case, will do the job.
There was only one of them, WD MyPassport that did not
work correctly with one of the EasyBootMenu Items. The
command "Swap; Boot 80" (start the computer hd), let
the computer hang. Thanks to Balder I could use the file
of him: Harddisk.img to fix this. When you download the
latest Balder files, you will find it included. Thanks again.
Strange is that only MyPassport had this problem, some
other notebook drives worked flawlessly with "Boot 80".
I think it has something to do with a special controller in
the case of MyPassport. It has not a common 2.5 drive.
Nevertheless I like this very small external drive for its
speed/size and because I can store it in a small cover.

I have in the USB EasyBootMenu a commandline:
"run /iso/bootwin.img"
This is to start a fully operational Windows-2-Go from
USB, where Windows is on a separate NTFS usb partition.
Following this procedure:
Download Balder's latest set of scrips "balder.zip"and find
the file harddisk.img in the map USB_Resources. Rename the
file harddisk.img in bootwin.img.
Open the bootwin.img with Winimage or UltraIso and copy the
file "MENU.LST" to edit the file with an editor like notepad.
Put the following text (between ---------) in the file:
----------------------
find --set-root --ignore-floppies /usbtag
chainloader /bootmgr
----------------------
instead of:
-----------
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chainloader +1
-----------
and save/copy the new MENU.LST back into the bootwin.img image:
Store the edited file bootwin.img in a map "ISO" with the other
iso files which can be started from an easybootmenu commandline.
Just put an empty txtfile without extention with the name usbtag
in the windows OS partition, where also the bootmgr is located.
If you create a special small systempartition on the usb drive
with only the directory "Boot" and the bootmgr file and the
file usbtag, you may be able to encrypt the Win2Go partition
with use of "bitlocker", so your data is safe if you loose the
usb stick. The usb flash drive contain then 3 partitions:
1. *:BootMenu - Fat 16/32 - Hidden - Active - Primary
2. *:System - NT FileSystem - None Active - Primary
3. *:Win2Go - NT FileSystem - None Active - Primary
If you have Windows install files in the map "sources"
in the System Partition,
the System Partition needs to be bigger, like this:
This all fits on a 32GB flash drive (Sandisk fixed usb disk)
and works fine when tested. Now, I have to transfer this
to a bigger Sandisk usb flash drive of 64 GB.

[1] run /iso/bootwin.img
[2] run /bootmgr
[3] run /iso/easeus.iso
[4] run /iso/ampe.iso
[5] swap; boot 80
[6] run ghost.ezb

USB flash drives for W2G:
I bought the Sandisk Extreme Pro USB flash drive 128G
This one is NOT seen as "fixed hd" but regular removable!
No real time OS for this one, only Linux live's or installs.
Today I bought 2 of the Sandisk Extreme 64G, and they
were still recognized as "fixed hd" and OK for Win2Go ;-)
