In EasyBoot 4.55, when you want to create a new image it asks for a "Seed Image". I'm just trying to understand a little better what the purpose of the seed image is. Is it using the seed image to pull the boot sector from?
When you use a seed image does it need to be of the same size as the image you are creating? For example, if I'm creating a new 2.88Mb image, can I use a 1.44Mb image as the seed file?
Finally, is there any utility or tool that I can use to create such seed images myself? I really appreciated the help in getting a seed image for True Image, but I have a feeling that I'm about to run into the same problem with some other programs and I'd love to know if there is a way I can create these seed images myself.

'Seed Image' is a small , standard format floppy image in 1.44MB/2.88MB. It always comes from real bootable floppy. EasyBoot help you to enlarge the size with boot information keeped, so that you can add more files to it later.

i think i understand this.. im trying to add NTFSDOS Pro which is 3 floppies and make it into one image that will work with easyboot. if i create 3 images of the floppies then use the first one as the seed image what do i do with the other 2 images? stick them in the large image or am i just supposed to add the original files to the image and pretty much just use the seed image as kind of the MBR of the image?

Well, The way I see this, You have to use another software that can create/modify/resize/format Floppy Images...
Try out "Win Image" I hope this is exactly for your  . I really don't know if UltraISO can do this (Didn't find it the last time I checked)

i took the seed of the first image and created a floppy image thats like 5mb then added all of the files that were on the 2 floppies to the image and when i try to use it it tells me that theres an I/O error any help?

IO Error? Are these floppies using DOS to start boot process? If yes then you need to give "SYS" command! (Who knows if the boot sector is in other format  ) Again, WinImage does allow changing Boot sector formats... I was hoping that UltraISO overtakes WinImage !

"sys" command? whats that? are you talking about formatting the first floppy as a dos boot disk then adding the files for NTFSDOS Pro to it? cuz i already did that.

im trying it again these are the exact steps i go through
1. format the floppy in windows xp and use the Create and MS-Dos bootdisk
2.use the NTFSDOS Pro Utility to copy the files to the first and second disks
3.take images of the 2 floppies using ultraISO
4.create a 5mb image using easyboot with the first floppy image as the seedimage
5.inject the files from the 2 floppies into the new image
what am i doing wrong? if you want i can send you the NTFSDOS Pro utility so you can test it out for yourself if you want to

Listen Up... You got any other OS then XP? I'mean W98 or any 9x/me?? If you got these then Things would be much easier....
Second, can you simply give me the list of file names after performing following steps...
1. Format Floppy disks (both) DO NOT ADD ANY DOS FILES!
2. Use NTFSDOS Pro utility again!
3. Give me the file names....
