I own both Vista and XP Pro SP2. I have wanted to combine them both onto 1 dvd for ease of use and also to add further programs. using MagicISO, i have succeeded in this, but the GUI leaves one desiring more as it is only black and white text mode. :(
I had gone as far as to create the whole iso etc, even with a menu bitmap, and this does not seem to work with EasyBoot. I have tried the various tips mentioned in your forums, but to no avail. I always get "CDBOOT:Unable to find ntldr". The same happenes when i try with vista. "Unable to find bootmgr". yet this was possible with MagicISO? Please help.

What i did in magiciso, for tose who are willing to put up withj the interface, is copy BOTH discs into the root directory, leaving out support and valueadd from the XP cd and support from the vista cd as these aren't really needed. Then i made copies of the bootsectors with ultraiso, and under tools selected the multiboot image option. I added the menu items i desired using the .bif files as a reference. A quick test in VMWare showed that the new dvd entered setup for both installers without any problems.

Actually, i believe it has to do with the loader. if i can get a .bin for xp sp2 and vista retail x86, that may work.

I have resolved this issue. I now have a fullyfunctional vista and XP installer thanks to BBIE, an extractor for the boot infos that is compatible with easyboot. Here is the utility:
Clicky

Use the utility to extract .bin bootsectors from the media, then copy the .bin to the c:\Easyboot\disk1\easyboot folder. Then copy the vista files to the disk1 directory using magiciso to be able to read the udf format. Next copy the other operating system doing the same thing. as you install each operatingsystem, do the rename and patch trick on the bin files, to keep the installations seperate. Finally add any folders and files you wish, then compile the disc.

This is my solution to vista & another operating system. PLEASE DO NOT FULLY TRUST THE .bin FILES THAT EASYBOOT COMES WITH!! As seen in the problem i had with the SP2 version of XP, that bin file was incompatible. It is best if you use the tool above to manually make a .bin for each operating system you make.

-Greetz
