I'm getting an "Error reserving zone for burn" when i try to create a dvd disc from an iso i just recently made. Does anyone know what that means?

My dvd recorder is supported because I could burn with this program before. So it's not just an unsupported drive problem.

I receive this error message when I try to burn a double-layer DVD+R using the built-in burning engine of the latest version of UltraISO.
I haven't had any problem burning CDs or single-layer DVDs before.
Any suggestions? (besides the obvious of trying to use a different burning engine... which is the next thing I intend to try <grin>)

Hello IDSmoker, this is a hardware related problem (the error message is reported by your DVD recorder), no solution is available yet.

hi could someone please help me ive bin tryin to burn data to dvd or iso but no joy
i can burn cd's jus not dvd for some reason ive tried everything i can think off but jus ent workin ive tried loads dif burn engines even ultra iso wat i seen on someone elses comments but jus dont work

I have the same problem. "Error reserving zone for burn" in UltraISO and smth else in Nero. It has something to do with disc types. I had DVD+R and they worked perfectly (I have just found one and it works) and new 1-16X 4.7 Philips DVD-Rs cause this problem.
