I am wondering if and when Ultra ISO will ever support the iso generated by Magic ISO.....It would eliminate the need for two ISO progs..... :)  :(

Hi Dogger, do you mean the UIF format? We would like to support this format as soon as possible if the specification is available.

Here you can find UIF2ISO.
It's a little tool to convert an UIF image to an ISO image.

FANTASTIC!!

I hate having to use a bunch of other programs just to open their proprietary formats!

xoben: if you download those converter utilities, you'll see that there is source code! Perhaps you can now implement the DAA and UIF support into UltraISO. ;)

Just my thought.

I'll definitely buy the program if DAA and UIF support is added.

This is a little off topic but I tested the compression of UltraISO, MagicISO, and PowerISO.  UltraISO had the best compression and also took the least amount of time to create images.
I made an image of King's Quest 8 (No reason for this game particularly, it was in my drive at the time) with each program.

ultraiso
kq8.iso 649,812KB
kq8.iso.rar 525,396KB
kq8.iso.7z 486,229KB
kq8.isz 534,063KB

magiciso
kq8.iso 649,512KB
kq8.iso.rar 525,396KB
kq8.iso.7z 486,229KB
kq8.uif 552,240KB

poweriso
kq8.iso 649,512KB
kq8.iso.rar 525,396KB
kq8.iso.7z 486,229KB
kq8.daa 555,053KB

7-zip
Ultra compression
LZMA
Ditionary size 96 MB
Word Size 273
Solid Archive

WinRar
Compression Method: Best
Dictionary Size: 4096KB
Solid Archive

All programs were at maximum compression except 7zip since I don't have enough RAM to set its memory as high as I can.  This isn't a definite standard since it's slightly abnormal for 7zip to have such a lead against WinRAR, but this test is what gave UltraISO my vote.

I'd be interested to see anybody else's research as well.
I am interested in why the UltraISO image is 300KB larger, though it isn't a problem.
