It seems that PQIMGCTR may not work properly at location above 2GB, the above method will put folder PQDI and all files under it on the inner tracks of DVD disc.
PS: Please see a related topic at http://forum.ezbsystems.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=1081 .

Priority has no relationship with dedicated position such as 2GB. As alsways, files/folders with higher priority value will be located closer to the central hole of a CD/DVD.
For example, folder PQDI has priority of 1, other files has default priority of 0 (zero), then PQDI will be located at inner tracks below 2GB limit.

I am having the SAME problem, I get corrupt image file after i have saved this bootable image file. I get this message when I try to restore my Power Quest Deploy Center Image fro the DVD. This was working fine in previous versions about a year ago. I tried creating the image on a Dual Layer disk and failed. I then compressed the image so it would fit on a 4.7 DVD and it failed, I made a smaller image size (below 4gig) and it will work.
However I cannot compress some images lower so I am forced to use DL DVD or Store on HDD. I prefer DL DVD.
version 8.5.1.1860 This is what I am doing. I am creating an image of my HDD with Deploy Center and then compiling these files on a deploy center bootable image DVD (so it will boot from the DVD from dos) the image files are in a folder on the DVD. However I tried putting them in the root as well but still fail.
I am not sure I understand your instructions:
Please try it this way: 1) Open the original ISO 2) Right click on 'PQDI' folder and choose "File Properties" from the popup menu 3) Change 'Priority' value to '1' and click 'OK' 4) Save as a new ISO
Is this a bug? cause in earlier versions I had no problem.
Do I need to set all the files to "1" or do the other files need to have priority in order... PQI is "1" then .002 is "2" and .003 is "3" and so on ?
I have in my image a folder containing this: image.PQI image.002 image.003
Please explain what I need to do to make these work. will this be fixed in newer versions or will we have to manually adjust.
Thanks.
These files are in my root of the boot image AUTOEXEC.BAT BOOTCAT.BIN BOOTIMG.BIN cdboot.txt COMMAND.COM DIHELP.DAT PQDPLCTR.RTC PQImgCtr.exe pqImgCtr.ovl PQImgCtr.pqg
then folder "image" contains image.PQI image.002 image.003
I have yet to try changing the value as i am not sure if ALL the file values need to be changed or just the one

I should mention that I cannot get a priority menu when I RH click a folder in the ISO image. Only files within the folder can be set. IS this correct ?

I just set the priority of each of the three files in the folder to "1" then I saved as a new image.
I then opened the iso image and I checked to see if the priority is set. On all three files the priority shows "zero" . So I do not know if the files were set to "1" or not. I would think the program would display the current priority
I may just need to go and install an older program to see what is up....

Thank you for that answer, however does one still need to use the priority command as discussed earlier when using the test version "1928". Or just compile as normally.
I am testing that version now by using the priority command 1 for the first file, then 2 for the second file and 3 for the next. as I do not know if each file needs to have a different priority.
I will then try to compile again not using any priority.
will let you know. (this is getting expensive making coasters out of DL DVD's) I have to burn to disc as this DVD is bootable from the bios to dos. ;)
Note: I am using DL DVD's that have several IMAGE files that spit at the 2Gig barrier and the disc size is around 6 to 7 Gig.
I tested using the priority on 4.7 DVD's and that works. However I was not sure if you need to assign the same priority to all files, or do you have to use priority 1 for the first image file and then 2 for the next continuing image file and then 3 for the next and so on ?
Thanks

Ok, I went and created my ISO images that will burn to a DL DVD, these images consist of my backup image (of my PC) I made with Deploy Center (Power Quest), these ISO images are also bootable so that I can restore my image right from the DL DVD which will boot from the Bios into DOS and then I can restore my PC from the Image if I need to.
Anyways, I created the first image that has in the root all the bootable files, the I made a folder that contains the PC Image. There are three files in this folder, the first two are at the 2Gig divide and the third is just under 2Gig. I highlighted the first file and set that to priority #1, I then selected the second file and set it to Priority #2, then the third I set to #3. Then I used "save as" to save I then burned this ISO to a DL DVD and booted my pc to a test HDD to see if this image will restore, IT WORKED JUST FINE!
The second image I did not select any priority and it DID NOT WORK .
So it appears you still have to set the priority with the test version you told me to use "1928" anyway though it worked.
I just do not know if you have to set the priority for each file differently like the first one #1, the second #2 and do on. OR can you just have ALL the files selected ad priority #1 ?
Now would the procedure change for 4.7 DVD's ?
I do not want to test any further as I went through a 25 pack of DL DVD's already in trying to figure this out...
Thanks, any further procedure and steps to use would be most appreciated....
Thanks again...
