Have tried a variety of disk types, running application as Admin etc but always get the same error and then it locks up completely and has to be killed using TaskManager.

OS is Vista Home Premium. Error report which is sent to Microsoft on the crash is below:

oh, before crashing and after selecting to send info to MS or not, an error window comes up with
