[EDIT]: .. still not solved in UI 9.3.6.2766 - never any acknowledgement in this thread - bye 4 good ...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
tested on two PCs, WinXP SP3 and Vista SP2, in Vista even when UltraISO runs as Admin. Conventional .iso and UltraISO compressed .isz images mount fine.
The .daa compressed disk images were made with the latest version of PowerISO, 4.5, and mount fine with PowerISO.
With v. 9.33 mounting normal-level compressed .daa's worked, but opening .daa's with a compression level higher than normal did not work, and neither did mounting. You fixed at least the opening of higher level compressed daa's with v. 9.3.5.2716, but obviously for the price of not being able to mount ANY .daa now anymore ...  :( (according to the little mount Window in UI they load, but when you click onto the virtual drive letter in Explorer nothing happens).
It would be very much appreciated if you fixed that. Actually I would love to switch all the way to UltraISO. The reason why I can't is the much worse compression ratio compared to PowerISO: a 1.4 GB .iso compressed with PowerISO highest compression level = ~900 MB .daa - the same .iso compressed with UltraISO with compression level "heaviest" = 1.2 GB .isz! If you carry stuff on your USB stick that is A LOT of wasted space!
So in general it would be really worth it for you guys to figure out which compression algorithms the competition from PowerISO is using, and to integrate that into UltraISO instead of the one you have currently implemented.
To make it easier for you I attached a zip with PowerISO test daa's with all three compression levels.
Hope to hear from you soon -
Cheers,
Lee
PS: the reason why I would asap like to switch from PI to UI is that UI does not require a restart but can mount disk images right away. That is a big plus! So I really encourage you to implement a good compression module!
