I am trying to burn an ISO file (Knoppix) onto a bootable CD. I have looked pretty far back in this group and not found a related thread -- sorry if I missed one.
I do the following:
1. Extract a boot record (?) from my WinXP Pro bootable re-install disk and move it into the image area.
2. Move my ISO file into the image area.
3. Highlight the boot-record file in the image area and click on the blue gearwheel icon to "set" the boot file.
4. Click on the "burn cd" icon.
5. Select a write speed (4x for a CD-RW).
6. Click "burn".
The resulting disk will not boot, but gives the message "Couldn't find NTLDR" and goes on to boot Windows.
I know I am doing (or not doing) something stupid, but I can't seem to discover what without some help.
