I keep an ISO of around 3 GB in my HD with all my small/medium software utilities; every now and then, when I download an updated version, I also update the ISO and once in a while I burn a DVD with it, so when I need to do a full re-install I can use that DVD. After doing some additions and some "fast" saves, I did a Save As with a different name and noticed that, unlike what I was expecting, the new ISO is BIGGER than the one with the fast saves! The contents of both ISOS are the SAME (I even mounted them to 2 virtual drives and WINDIFFed them and they turned out equal!). How can this be? What are those extra 63 MB doing in the SaveAs image?
Thanks, Mad

Please choose 'File'->'Properties' from main menu, check 'Optimize' then 'Save As'.

Thanks for the answer, but it's still bigger than the original, albeit this time only around 27 MB bigger... I even chose the 3.95 GB DVD option instead of the 4.7 GB, but it still is roughly the same 27 MB bigger.
I know that 27 MB out of 3310 is pretty much nothing (around 0.8%), but I would like to know WHY it grows... (I'm the kind of guy that likes to know the whys...
Thanks, Mad

Never mind answering people: I've just terminated evaluation of UltraISO as it has managed to completely screw up one ISO I make frequent changes to! I'm back to MagicISO: may lack some features, but never screwed my ISOs!
