We purchased a copy of the latest version of UltraISO to use here and we're run into a problem. We've been able to get it to burn CDs, bootable CDs, and DVDs, but when trying to burn dual-layer 8GB DVD-R discs it can't do it.
UltraISO 7.6.5.1269 is the version we are using here. The DVD-RW drive is a Plextor with support for Dual-Layer DVD-RW and DVD+RW discs. We are using MS Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2.
Can anyone help? We need an answer soon.

Hello TheZorch, UltraISO is a CD/DVD image utility, it cannot burn a Dual-layer DVD disc .
Suggestion: Setup a trial version Nero 6 or 7, then try to burn.

Hi, after running into the same problem, I found this convenient method:
1. Â Create ISO using UltraISO. 2. Â I then use ImgBurn to burn the dual-layer image with. Â It calculates the correct layer break position. Â It even has a tool to check the break information located in the ISO image (to use if you've downloaded an ISO and need to check to see if the break is good. Â If not re-author). 3. Â ImgBurn is free by the way, so doesn't add cost. Â

I've burned lots of homemade DL video DVD's this way, and all but one have come out great (I think the DVD+R media was bad).
I almost forgot, to use ImgBurn, or any other burning software for that matter, with UltraISO, go to Options->Configurations, click on the "Integration" tab, and then browse to the "ImgBurn.exe" file, and then when you click on the "Burn CD/DVD Image" icon, it will load it automatically into ImgBurn (just as it would with Nero).
I can't say enough about the flexibility of UltraISO, it's a fantastic program!
