I had to rebuild my hard drive and was using previous version with no problems.  I'm using Vista and I've downloaded latest version both trial and registered ... not able to detect built in burner.  Am I'm doing something wrong or is this a glitch with new version ???

Thanks

Hi,

I'm not quite sure how to post a screen capture, so I will explain what I've been doing step by step.

I open the program and click on the burn cd/dvd image icon and it brings up a window listing vista as well as my dvd writer.  There should be a small box beside the recorder for me to click DVD, however this is missing.  I find the image file and click the  burn button and it fails saying unformatted or blank media.

I go to options and click on configuration and then proceed to integration and click on detect default burning software and get the message - nero or roxio burning engine not found.  I have searched in the ultraiso program files for the built in burning software and can not find it.  It doesn't appear to be installed.

I have tried this with the registered version, uninstalled it and then installed the trial version to see if there is a difference.

I used the previous version in Windows xp with no problems and no pre-installed burning software.  I do a clean Vista install and download the latest version of the Ultraiso and find I can't use it properly.

I hope that explains the situation ... Thanks
