I just installed a new Vista Ultimate x86 system, and a new install of UltraISO 9.1.2.2463.

When I mount the Visual Studio 2008 Team Developer or Team suite DVD, and install, I get a "suite integration toolkit executable has stopped working" error.

I had previously used older versions of UltraISO to install the same images on other machines.

Is this a regression defect, or is there something else wrong.

Regards
P.

This is a bug related to udfs.sys of Windows Vista/2008 (No problem will occur if you replace it with udfs.sys from Windows XP/2003), possible solutions are as following:

1) Copy setup files from virtual drive to a folder on local harddisk and setup from there
-or-
2) Recreate an ISO from files/folders on virtual drive with no UDF volume, then mount and install

Thanks, that is too bad.

Do you know if M$ will be fixing this anytime soon, I was running SP1 and fully patheced?
Or is there a way UltraISO can work around the problem?

We will try our best to resolve this problem.

At present, it is recommanded to setup SoftDisc (or Daemon-Tools, Virtual CloneDrive), choose 'Options'->'Configuration' from main menu of UltraISO, switch to 'Virtual drive' page and click on 'Detect', then you can mount images to 'Virtual CD/DVD Drive' (instead of 'ISO Drive') and avoid this kind of problems.

xoben, let me just confirm, the problem does not happen with SoftDisc, or it does not happen with SoftDisc if I use DaemonTools to mount the image? (I'm not very familiar with SoftDisc)

Yes.

PS: SoftDisc is a Daemon-Tools based virtual drive manager (http://www.ezbsystems.com/softdisc).

Unfortunately I can't use Daemon Tools, it interferes with kernel mode debugging.

If the problem with UltraISO and Windows is UDF images, then the problem will become bigger because many of the new product releases are on UDF ISO's.

Anyway, I hope you can fix it soon.
