Could you open the .GI image by UltraISO ? If so, please extract all files and folders and see what will happen.

Ok the file is made of 5 parts xxx(11).gi, xxx(12).gi, xxx(13).gi, xxx(14).gi, xxx.gi and has a total size of 7,46 GB.I have opened it with UltraISO and it shows a dimension of 3715 MB instead of 7,46 GB in total size box.Ultraiso extracts it with no problem but the file is 3,6 GB.???

Thanks lucanasci for your sample image.

This is a PS2 DVD image with large amount of dummy data, the content of disc is 3.6GB and UltraISO can handle it properly.
