Forum: UltraISO Topic: How to create an ISO from VOB files? started by: starshell Posted by starshell on Feb. 17 2006,13:57
Hi, I've got 2.5 GB of video files in the form of IFO, BUP and VOB files. Rather than burn these files to a DVD using Nero I would prefer to convert them into an ISO image and then mount that image with Daemon tools to play on my PC. Can ULTRAISO do a conversion of this nature and, if the answer is yes, what are the steps I need to go through to achieve it?

I realise that the individual VOB files are playable (I usually use VLC media player to view them) but what I have is a concert, in sub-sections, including a VOB file which contains a menu. Unless or until all of the VOB, IFO and BUP files are integrated by burning to disc or by being converted into a single disc image (ie. ISO or BIN) the menu is not clickable and I can't select the song I want to play. For reasons of my own I'd rather create the ISO (if that's possible) and save it to an external drive rather than burning the files to disc. I'd appreciate it, therefore, if somebody could tell me whether or not ULTRAISO is capable of converting a complete set of VOB, IFO and BUP files into a single ISO image which I can then mount in a virtual drive to play on my computer like a normal DVD. Use 'File'->'New'->'DVD-Video image' to craete an ISO from IFO/VOB fileset.
