Hi all - new member here... I just d/l UltraISO and am first learning to use it, so please be understanding...

I want to create a bootable CD, adding certain EXE files to this CD (so that I can run them from the CD).  I 'think' I understand the procedure for creating a boot CD, but how do I go about getting the EXE files to the CD (that are now on my HDD)?

I did search the forum and didn't find the solution, but if this has been discussed before, I appologize and please just point me to the thread.

First, please note bootable CD and autorun CD is not the same.
bootable CD - startup your computer from poweron stage
autorun CD - works under windows environment

Second, for bootable CD, only WInPE supports running a EXE file, but a certain registry settings should be prepared. For autorun CD, just put the EXE onto the CD and run it from there.

xoben, thanks for the reply.   Ok, I'm assuming that I need WinPE to execute a Windows-based exe, but suppose it's a DOS-based exe?

And speaking of DOS, how do I convert a Bootable FreeDOS floppy (with some exe's on it) to a Bootable CD?

Thanks!

1) Use 'Bootable'->'Make floppy image' to get an .IMA file
2) Choose 'File'->'New'->'Bootable CD/DVD image' and select that .IMA as boot image file
3) Save to an ISO image or burn it directly
