when I open an image file, I get an error msg "ISO 9660 VOLUME NOT FOUND"  
what does this mean, and is there any way i can open the file ?   or is the file useless ?

Which version of UltraISO are you using?

PS: "ISO 9660 VOLUME NOT FOUND" is not a valid error message reported by UltraISO.

im using ultraiso v 7.21 sr-2

thats odd xoben...ezb sez its not a valid response ???

interesting...how do i send a screen shot on here ?

Sorry, I should mention that latest version UltraISO does not report this error message.

For old versions, it means that UltraISO cannot handle this image, it may be in unknown format or a corrupt image.
