Forum: UltraISO Topic: Priority problem - Version 8.6.2.2011 started by: liqnit Posted by liqnit on May 14 2007,02:18
HiI am working with PQI images and need to use pririty on the image files in order for the image to work. as discussed < http://forum.ezbsystems.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=7;t=1599 > The problem is when i put the 2 files and set the priority in the following orders the files of the PQDI or not getting thier pririty right. the files are 2GB & 400Mb . When i put the 2GB only then it is ok. With 2 files the inner PQI files get a diffrent priority. look at attached files : Posted by liqnit on May 14 2007,02:19
this is the picture inside the PQDI folder that was selected with priority 1

(xoben @ May 14 2007,07:07) QUOTE QUOTE The problem is when i put the 2 files and set the priority in the following orders the files of the PQDI or not getting thier pririty right. Sorry, could you please explain why do you think the orders are not right? If i understand correctly the LBA column is describbin the position of the file . When the Files inside the PQDI folder (that was set to Pri = 1) have a high LBA number the PQDI application is not working. as you can see from the pictures the folder has an LBA of 30 but inside all files are much higher. Priority is for files, not including folder (located in system area) itself.

(xoben @ May 14 2007,09:13) QUOTE Priority is for files, not including folder (located in system area) itself. So i dont have to set the folder priority? only the files? Posted by NeKtO_242 on Jul. 13 2007,14:16
Hello!I have the same problem. A question to developers: There is in the program an opportunity to set position (LBA) of a file in an image? I.e. in the beginning or in the end? (for example as it is made in Nero) How to use priority? Change of this value does not change position of a file in an image ![]() Posted by xoben on Jul. 13 2007,21:29
Hello NeKtO_242, please read a related topic at:< http://forum.ezbsystems.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=1081 > . Posted by NeKtO_242 on Jul. 14 2007,03:09
I red this topic. All is very well explained. But as I already wrote:QUOTE Change of this value does not change position of a file in an image OK. I'll try to describe my actions. 1. File-> New-> Data CD/DVD Image 2. Actions-> Add files... (I add 2 files) ![]() I want, that last file 'wallpapers.rar' has been written by the first. 3. RightClick on ' wallpapers.rar '-> File properties-> Priority-> 9 4. File-> Save As... (I save in format ISO) 5. I observe the following order of files (look LBA!) ![]() How I can write down 'wallpapers.rar' the first on a disk?!? Please, help me... Posted by xoben on Jul. 14 2007,04:46
Just repeated steps 1-5 listed above, UltraISO works properly.QUOTE 3. RightClick on ' wallpapers.rar '-> File properties-> Priority-> 9 Please re-check and make sure the priority setting of this file is '9'. Posted by NeKtO_242 on Jul. 14 2007,04:57
For described above an example a priority for 'forex.rar' = 0, for 'wallpaper.rar' = 9 BEFORE saving. AFTER saving all priorities became equal 0

Now I long experimented with "Priority" and different files and it has once turned out to achieve the necessary result. Thus I have found out following feature!Realization of function "Priority" is very sensitive to names of files. I.e. renaming of one or several source files into the project leads to a mistake in work of function. (version UltraISO 8.6.3.2052) Posted by NeKtO_242 on Jul. 17 2007,10:12
Has checked up on version 8.6.2. The Same problem. The program does not place files in the demanded order on priorities: (Somebody can confirm it? Or nobody uses this function? Posted by xoben on Jul. 17 2007,20:37
Possible problem: please choose 'File'->'Properties' and make sure 'Optimize' option is NOT checked.

Ok! Really the problem was in it!But I very often use an option 'Optimize'. And I thought, that an option 'Priority' too will be correct to work. ![]() Dear Xoben. I hope, what in the following version it will be possible to use these options simultaneously? ;) Posted by liqnit on Jul. 26 2007,07:05
After moving to version 8.6.3 the priority problem are currently solved , i still need to check with DL(8.5GB) DVD
