Forum: UltraISO Topic: Another suggestion for optimization started by: bj.8.trades Posted by bj.8.trades on Jan. 28 2008,03:15
Your competitor has a feature I'd like to see in UltraISO. The fact that MagicISO can do this and UltraISO can't is good incentive to add the feature, right? ![]() The feature is simply this: when editing an existing ISO image, you can drag a file already stored in the image to another folder, with the Ctrl key held down (like you would to copy a file in Windows Explorer.) The results in a new instance of the file, having the same name and LBA as the source file. Since UltraISO knows that the file is already in the image, it doesn't have to do the normal optimzation step, comparing MD5/size, and can quickly do a direct save. UltraISO can do one better on MagicISO, if they allow the file to be "copied" into the same folder, renaming it like Windows does (e.g. Copy of File1, etc.) Or perhaps just support the standard copy/paste operations. Hope that's a appetizing suggestion! ![]() BJ |
