Forum: UltraISO Topic: Specify "My ISO Files Location" in uikey.ini started by: Anusha Posted by Anusha on Feb. 22 2008,23:46
Can it be done? If so, how?I want to make it not use the windows registry at all! (i.e. fully portable) Posted by xoben on Feb. 23 2008,02:42
Version 8.66 and newer version reads configuration from ultraiso.ini (Can export current options by Ctrl+Alt+E).

That doesn't work. That path seems to be kept only in the registry. I moved the installed folder to some location and uninstalled it from program files. then added the ncessary uikey entries to get it running. then i tried changing the My ISO Files Location and it asked me to restart the program. I did, and it didn't retain the changed folder path. Then I installed it again in a virtual machine, and changed the paths and it worked. Then I tried hitting ctrl+alt+e to generate the ini file, and there wasn't an entry that corresponds to the My ISO Files folder. Well, it is a not a big issue, and maybe inappropriate when made portable. But i think it should be there. Posted by xoben on Feb. 23 2008,19:00
