Forum: UltraISO Topic: .ISZ SFV/Checksum error help started by: FarmCretin Posted by FarmCretin on Mar. 05 2008,23:02
i'm using ultraIso 9. i happened to have a few ISOs laying around my external HDD, and decided to check the compression power of the isz file type. i opened the image, click compress, set it to heavy compress and checked the box to create a checksum[sfv] file. after compression, the image worked fine but when i went to check the sfv using quick sfv checker, i get b07b8fb245ec9431dcf294cc524485eb as my file name, which is just wrong. just to check something, i set my new isz file to b07b8fb245ec9431dcf294cc524485eb and then ran the sfv, it started checking it but then got the bad checksum error. after looking in the help file i tried to do the tools>verify checksums but the sfv file doesnt show. any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for your message. The .SFV file created by 9.0.0.2336 is not standard (using MD5 instead of CRC32), so it cannot be verified by most SFV tools. This bug will be fixed very soon at next release of UltraISO. Suggestions: 1) Change file extension from .sfv to .md5, and verify it by WinMD5 or simmilar programs 2) Use 'Tools'->'Test ISZ' of UltraISO to check integrity of ISZ images |
